The New England Patriots have reportedly hired AJ Highsmith to be their new pro scouting director. He will serve as the replacement for Pat Stewart, who has taken the general manager position at Nebraska.
Neil Stratton was the first to report the news on Wednesday.
Highsmith has served as the role of director of scouting for both the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills. He also worked as a pro personnel scout and scouting assistant for the San Francisco 49ers.
There is a familial connection with Highsmith joining the Patriots. He is the son of current Patriots personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith.
