NBC says SkyCam cables at Arrowhead weren't to blame for Derek Carr’s late wobbly pass

Turns out Raiders quarterback Derek Carr's fourth-quarter pass to a seemingly wide open Amari Cooper was just a bad throw.

At least that's what NBC is saying.

Raiders fans and conspiracy theorists alike were convinced Carr's pass hit NBC’s SkyCam cabling and thus changed the trajectory of the ball and confused Cooper, who had beaten broken Chiefs coverage.

While it sure looks like the ball died in mid-air, NBC Sports spokesman Dan Masonson said in a statement that the "overhead camera is positioned behind the line of scrimmage, so the cables would not be in play.
