NBA Draft stock watch: Grayson Allen is tripping over his pro future

The level of play in college basketball this season is higher than it’s been in years, thanks in large part to a freshman class that has exceeded even the loftiest of expectations. Players such as Josh Jackson, Markelle Fultz, Dennis Smith and Lonzo Ball have already established themselves as likely top 10 picks, with many more stepping up to add to the overall talent level of NCAA game.

Indeed, freshmen will dominate the 2017 NBA Draft. Sporting News’ latest NBA Draft big board has 18 players from the 2016 high school recruiting class in its NBA Draft Top 30, a ridiculously high number that accentuates how incredibly talented this group.
