The Nationals have acquired left-handed reliever Marc Rzepczynski from the A's for cash considerations and minor-leaguer Max Schrock, the Nationals have announced.

Rzepczynski, 30, is mostly a LOOGY (lefty one-out guy), having appeared in 56 games this season and pitched only 36 innings. He's overall allowed opposing hitters to slash .266/.379/.343. That's an alarming rate of letting guys on base, but he's only allowed 18 of the 55 runners he's inherited to score.
