Joey Logano won his second consecutive Talladega race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. But this one was strange and surprising.
The biggest surprise was who helped Logano win the final three-lap sprint to the checkered flag. It was Brian Scott, a rookie and an afterthought all season. Yet there was Scott, going off the on the final restart alongside Logano.
Never predict anything at Talladega. Who would have thought this race would go to overtime? Who thought that would happen without The Big One?
"it's never a layup here at Talladega," Logano said in a radio interview.
