NASCAR Chase standings: Who's in, who's in trouble

Kyle Larson is normally one of NASCAR’s most mild-mannered drivers, but he was pissed after Sunday’s race at Watkins Glen.

And he should have been.

Larson was in position for a much-needed top-five finish until AJ Allmendinger wrecked him on the last lap. Instead of finishing up front, Larson wound up 29th — the type of finish he can’t afford right now.

Larson is one of several drivers still fighting to get into the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Without a win, he has to make the 16-driver field on points. And with 12 winners so far this season, there are only four spots available on points (as long as Chris Buescher gets into the top 30) — fewer if a new winner emerges in the next four races.
