MLB puts kibosh on Charlie Sheen throwing first pitch during World Series

Charlie Sheen offered to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a World Series game in Cleveland, but Major League Baseball is not interested.

Indians fans have been pushing the idea on social media, and Sheen — who played pitcher Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn in "Major League," a 1989 film about the Indians — was all about it.

An MLB spokesperson, though, told the Associated Press that the decisions about who will throw the first pitches have been made and that the league and Indians have worked together to find "former franchise greats" for the honors (evidently, this guy was not among them).
