WASHINGTON — When Rich Hill, the Dodgers’ starter for Game 2 of the National League division series, missed more than a month this season, it was not a run of the mill injury absence, as his time sidelined included a deadline trade from the A’s to the Dodgers. It also was not a particularly normal ailment that Hill was dealing with.
"Normally, I would get what you would consider a normal pitcher’s blister in spring training and then that calluses over and you’re good to go for most of the year," Hill said on Friday. "Sometimes it will pop back up.
