New York Mets pitcher Jenrry Mejia has received a permanent suspension from Major League Baseball after testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance for the third time in less than 12 months.
Major League Baseball announced the suspension Friday, saying that Mejia tested positive for Boldenone.
It marks the third positive test for a performance-enhancing substance for Mejia, who was suspended twice last season.
