Michigan State entered the weekend against Minnesota needing to take care of business, holding off Northwestern to keep themselves inside of the top 12 in the Big Ten's standings. After MSU dropped the first two games of the weekend, and Northwestern split the first two with UCLA, it all came down to Saturday's games.
