Montreal (AFP) - Michael Sam, who abruptly left the club for "personal reasons," has decided to rejoin the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes.
The Alouettes, who signed Sam to a two-year deal, suspended him after he left the club, but they welcomed him back on the weekend.
Sam is the first openly gay player to be drafted by a National Football League team and then to sign a contract with a CFL team.
