Baseball’s best team, the Mets, continued its sprint through the first few weeks of the season, by coming from behind to beat the Atlanta Braves, 3-2, on Wednesday at Citi Field to extend its winning streak to 10 games.
At 12-3, the Mets own the best record in baseball and have matched the best start by a Mets team after 15 games since the 1986 World Series champions also went 12-3.
The last time the Mets won 10 in a row was in July 2008, during their final season at Shea Stadium. This year’s team has already set a record for most consecutive wins on one homestand, with nine.
