Here we go again. Newell's, the boyhood club of Lionel Messi in Rosario, Argentina, is confident in signing the Barcelona superstar after the 2018 World Cup, according to La Capital.
"I am convinced, like many of my peers, that we can make history as a club if we get the best player in the world to wear the Newell's shirt in the first division," vice president Cristian D'Amico said.
D'Amico said he can see the love Messi has for the team, from photos with Newell's gear to what he has said in the past, including liking the idea of one day playing for the club.
