Maya Brady's heroics can't lift UCLA past No. 1 Oklahoma in Women's College World Series

Maya Brady certainly did all she could to keep UCLA in it on Monday afternoon.

Yet her heroics in the first game weren’t enough to get the Bruins past top-seeded Oklahoma at the Women’s College World Series.

Oklahoma cruised to a 15-0 blowout win in the second game on Monday afternoon in Oklahoma City, which bounced UCLA out of the tournament and sent the Sooners into the championship series.

Brady, who is Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady’s niece, hit a pair of home runs in the first game of the afternoon — including a clutch homer in the seventh inning to push them to a 7-3 win.
