DeAndre Jordan was holed up in his Houston home on Wednesday night with members of the Los Angeles Clippers, who were there encouraging him to back out on a verbal agreement he made with the Mavericks earlier this week and re-sign with them.
The meeting appeared to go well, and USA TODAY Sports is reporting that Jordan will re-sign with the Clippers tonight at midnight.
The Mavericks’ Chandler Parsons, who helped recruit Jordan to Dallas, responded late on Wednesday to the news.
It’s hard to tell which tweet is better: Parsons’ or Blake Griffin’s tweet showing a chair blocking the door at Jordan’s house.
