Matt Tifft is ready to make steps toward returning to racing, which he is determined to do. For now, though, he's taking things slowly.
In February, Joe Gibbs Racing announced Tifft would drive a 13-race schedule in this season's Xfinity Series. He had a back procedure earlier this summer and was near a return to racing. Then he was diagnosed with a low-grade glioma and had brain surgery to remove the slow-growing tumor.
