Hideki Matsuyama is quietly playing some of the best golf in the world right now with four top-five finishes in his last eight starts worldwide. That form has traveled to China with him this week as the No. 10 player in the world shot a 7-under 65 on Friday to move to 13 under for the tournament, three shots ahead of Bill Haas in second.
Matsuyama has 19 birdies through two rounds, tops in the field, and on Friday he hit 16-of-18 greens on his way to nine birdies and only two bogeys.
