Maryland coach says Terps get an edge by using Under Armour balls

The different brands of balls used in college basketball and their potential impact on the game is causing a national stir.

Maryland has been in the spotlight after multiple players on opposing teams have complained about the Under Armour balls the team uses. Terps coach Mark Turgeon said the balls give his team an advantage.

“I always feel like when you play with a different ball than everybody else, it’s an edge,” he told reporters Friday, via CSN Mid-Atlantic. “We've played with The Rock in some places. I think it’s an edge for those teams that use it every day, so it’s an edge for us here, but we love the ball.
