Martin Truex Jr. crew chief Cole Pearn will miss this week’s race at Phoenix International Raceway while serving a one-race suspension.
Pearn was suspended for one race and fined $50,000 for illegal roof flaps at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Pearn appealed the penalty, allowing him to lead Truex’s team last week at Las Vegas, but has withdrawn the appeal. Fox Sports reported Sunday that the appeal had been withdrawn and NBC Sports confirmed it Tuesday.

A replacement for Pearn has not yet been named by the team.
