Manchester City reportedly learn what it would cost to sign a Florian Wirtz alternative

It was revealed yesterday that perhaps Manchester City aren’t out of the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz. Sacha Tavolieri reported for Sky Sports that City had a verbal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen this summer to sign Wirtz for €100 million. Now it appears to be a waiting game for a definitive decision from Wirtz about where his future lies. But if Wirtz decides that the Etihad isn’t where his future lies, City would need to sign an alternative to the German international.

One player who could be that alternative is RB Leipzig’s Dutch international Xavi Simons.
