Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson offers illuminating commentary on every NBA playoff game each night on Twitter, but it wasn't supposed to be this way. Johnson should be breaking down each game over at ESPN, where the network announced in October that Johnson would appear "frequently."
That hasn't happened. Since that announcement, Johnson has made one appearance on "NBA Countdown," according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post. That appearance came in March.
Since then ... nothing. Fans hoping to hear Johnson's takes likely aren't going to get them during the NBA finals, either.
