Former LSU wide receiver Javen Nicholas committed to Charlotte after three seasons in Baton Rouge. Nicholas took to social media to announce the news on Monday.
Nicholas entered the transfer portal on April 17 after going through spring workouts with the Tigers. With a crowded room of veteran pass catchers, Nicholas chose to seek a larger role elsewhere and will try his luck with the 49ers.
Originally committed to LSU as a walk-on, Nicholas hails from New Orleans and played high school football at St. Augustine. The recruiting hotbed produced LSU legends such as Leonard Fournette and Tyrann Mathieu.
