It's another early exit from the NCAA Tournament for LSU softball. The No. 10-seeded Tigers (42-16) fell Saturday night to Southeastern Louisiana, 8-7.
Unlike Friday's matchup between these teams, both sides scored in the first inning, with the Lions (50-15) holding the lead. And again, unlike Friday, LSU battled back to tie in the middle innings.
As the game went along, though, SLU struck back to take the lead. The Tigers again tied it in the top of the sixth, only for the Lions to take it back in the bottom of the frame, only for LSU to tie it again in the top of the seventh.
