LSU men's basketball adds elite shooter from ranked team out of transfer portal

LSU men's basketball picked up another transfer commitment, this time from Memphis guard PJ Carter. On3's Joe Tipton reported the move on Friday.

Carter is the fourth backcourt addition of the spring window for the Tigers and the second of the week following forward Pablo Tamba. The team now has 12 players on its roster.

An elite shooter, Carter shot nearly 40% from three-point range last season. He averaged 5.4 points and 14.4 minutes per game off the bench, playing in all 35 games for nationally-ranked Tigers. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Campbell before dropping to JUCO for the 2022-23 season.
