LSU baseball is a national championship contender after finding No. 3 starter

Casan Evans made the first start of his career in LSU baseball's game on Sunday and turned in a solid performance.

The right-handed pitcher picked up the win in an eight-inning 12-2 victory over No. 5 Tennessee. He struck out six and didn't walk a batter during the contest, allowing the defense to work behind him and get out of innings quickly.

Despite giving up four hits and two runs in the first inning, Evans remained composed under pressure. He surrendered just two hits the rest of the way and LSU used just one reliever the rest of the way after sending six into Saturday's game.
