Love announces return to Cavs

Kevin Love is staying put.

Love has agreed to a five-year, $108.9 million extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to a person close to the deal. That figure could be higher if the salary cap, as so many suspect, is ultimately higher than the projected $68 million for next season.

The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the details of the deal haven't been made public.

On a post at theplayerstribune.com, a site founded by Derek Jeter, who has the same agent as Love, the three-time NBA All-Star said he is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers because of "unfinished business.
