Look out, Nike: Under Armour's Plank aims to be 'No. 1 brand in the world'

Kevin Plank doesn't mince words — and never has.

The Under Armour founder, chairman and chief executive officer wants his company to become the No. 1 brand in the world. He respects his rivals in the sneaker wars: Nike and Adidas. But the 44-year old entrepreneur tells Sporting News he doesn't like his competitors — and never will. There's nothing the former college football player seems to enjoy more than beating the big guys at their own game.

So it must be with some sense of the satisfaction that Plank sees his name at No. 6 on the SN 50, Sporting News’s 2016 ranking of the 50 most influential people in sports.
