Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop, usually a solid, smart presence in net, epically misplayed the puck midway through the first period of Game 5 for a giveaway goal that fans will see in their nightmares.
Bishop came way out of the blue paint to try to play the puck and ended up colliding with his own defensemen, Victor Hedman. The collision left Bishop sprawled out on the ice and the net wide open for Patrick Sharp to tap in the puck.
That’s probably the easiest playoff goal Sharp has ever scored.
