Lewis Hamilton hits out at Ferrari during Miami GP: ‘Have a tea break while you’re at it’

Lewis Hamilton will “not apologise for being a fighter”, saying his sarcastic comments about his team during Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix proved he “still has that fire in his belly”.

Hamilton, 40, made curt remarks towards race engineer Riccardo Adami over the radio during the race, after Ferrari took – in his opinion – too long to order team-mate Charles Leclerc aside when the Briton was on faster stint.

Leclerc was finally ordered to make way, but Hamilton was unimpressed. “Have a tea break while you’re at it,” he said.

Ferrari later ordered him to give the place back after his pace slowed.
