Le'Veon Bell won't report to the Pittsburgh Steelers' team facilities by Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET deadline, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.
As a result, Bell is ineligible to play for the remainder of the 2018 season.
Leading up to the pivotal day, it looked like he would opt for the latter scenario. Schefter reported Saturday the three-time Pro Bowler was "unlikely" to show up.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport echoed that report:
Ian RapoportMore coming on this for tomorrow’s @NFLGameDay: Despite owner Art Rooney’s comments on RB Le’Veon Bell, the team is not expecting their star RB to play for them this season, sources say.
