The first LeBron James "Exquisite Collection" rookie card ever produced sold for $1,537,500 million at auction, 10 times the minimum starting bid.
The card sold Saturday via Goldin Auctions and is an all-time record for this card in the 8.5 rating category by Beckett Grading Cards system. The signature was graded the high of 10 by Beckett.
