LeBron hit another gear of greatness as a PG

USA TODAY Sports' Jeff Zillgitt breaks down the Cavaliers' Game 2 victory against the Atlanta Hawks.

ATLANTA — LeBron James the point guard made an appearance at Philips Arena Friday.

It was out of necessity, and it was brilliant.

With Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving sitting out Game 2 with tendinitis in his right knee and a strained right foot, James directed the offense as masterful as the conductor of a world-class symphony.

James made music with the basketball on Friday. Behind-the-pack passes, cross-court passes, he jumped for a shot only to have defenders collapse on him and he threw the ball to open shooter in the corner.
