Larry Fitzgerald 1st Pro Athlete Since Marino in 1988 to Win Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Larry Fitzgerald is yet to make a commitment to playing football in 2018, but his golf game is in peak form.

Fitzgerald and Kevin Streelman won the PGA's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am team championship Sunday by seven strokes, carding a 12-under fourth round.

Mark Dalton of the Arizona Cardinals' media relations department noted Fitzgerald is the seventh professional athlete to win the team portion of the Pro-Am. Dan Marino was the last athlete to win the team event in 1988.

"It's great, but I'm just hoping moving forward we don't have to talk about color anymore," Fitzgerald told reporters after it was mentioned he became the first African American amateur to win the team title.
