HAVRE — The Kalispell A Lakers lost on a game-winning double 3-2 in game one before another late rally in game two led to the Havre Northstars picking up a home doubleheader sweep in American Legion baseball on Sunday.
In a pitcher's duel in the doubleheader opener, George Schwan went six innings for the Lakers (1-3-1), allowing one hit and no earned runs, but left the game down 2-1. Down to their final out, Dillon Wink laced a game-tying RBI single, scoring Ethan Kim to tie the game.
Beau McEwen came in for relief of Schwan in the seventh inning and surrendered three hits, including Tyson Brandon’s walk off double to win the game.
