Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Cesc Fabregas are on Los Angeles FC's radar as the incoming franchise looks to "attract players with a global reputation."
Speaking to ESPN FC, LAFC president and owner Tom Penn said the club has 10 global stars on its shortlist ahead of the team's inaugural MLS campaign in 2018.
"Wayne Rooney is an example of the caliber of player we are looking to bring to LAFC," said Penn, an ESPN basketball analyst. "He is one of 10 names we are looking at, but we are a long way from signing anybody up right now.
