Espanyol manager Manolo Gonzalez has expressed his reservations over rising star Joan Garcia’s possible transfer to arch-rivals Barcelona, following growing reports that the Blaugrana have reached an agreement in principle to sign the 24-year-old goalkeeper.
Speaking to RAC1 (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Manolo did not hold back when asked about the rumours. “I know he has strong Barça feelings. I’m not in his head, but I would be very surprised if he went to Barça,” he admitted.
“Because they have Ter Stegen and because they are their eternal rival, I would be very surprised… But I’m not in anyone’s head, and I don’t know what they’ll do.
