Kyren Williams has exceeded all expectations as a former fifth-round pick, scoring 31 total touchdowns in the last two seasons alone. He’s become a workhorse for the Los Angeles Rams, something few people saw coming when he was selected 164th overall out of Notre Dame in 2022.
Williams is already entering the final year of his rookie contract, which means he’ll be a free agent in 2026 if no deal gets done before next March. The Rams and Williams’ camp have had conversations about a potential extension, sitting down at the annual league meeting this spring to discuss a deal, but we’re now into May and the only thing that’s changed is Los Angeles drafted a running back (Jarquez Hunter) in the fourth round.
