Knicks' Derrick Rose doesn't mind playing second fiddle to Carmelo Anthony

Top picks in the NBA Draft are supposed to be the top options on their teams.

That's not so for Knicks guard Derrick Rose. He said he’s fine with playing second fiddle to Carmelo Anthony on his new NBA team this season.

“My job is to come here and help (Anthony) win,” Rose said Tuesday, via the New York Daily News. “This is his team.”

Rose made his comments on the first day of training camp with his new team. He was traded to the Knicks from his hometown Chicago Bulls, the team that selected him first overall in 2008, just before June’s NBA Draft.
