Kirby Smart, Georgia football can hide behind new Georgia law

Athletic departments of Georgia's public universities will now have 90 days to respond to open records requests instead of the three they had been allowed after governor Nathan Deal signed Senate Bill 323 on Monday. That's longer than any other state — 75 days longer than any other SEC school — and will allow the University of Georgia to be far less transparent.

What it will try to hide, we don't know.

New Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart denies having much to do with this, and says calling it "Kirby's Law" is ridiculous.
