Kevin Porter Jr. trade begins week of final roster moves

The roster crunch across the NBA is underway. After a total of 10 players were waived league-wide Monday, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired Kevin Porter Jr. and two second-round picks from the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, league sources confirmed to Yahoo Sports. The deal sends Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl back to Houston — two players for whom Oklahoma City had been exploring trade avenues, sources said, ahead of the Monday deadline for teams to trim opening night rosters to 15.
