Golden State Warriors All-Star Kevin Durant apologized Tuesday for going "too far" in defending himself on Twitter.
"I use Twitter to engage with fans," he said at the Tech Crunch conference in San Francisco. "I think it's a great way to engage with basketball fans. I happened to take it a little too far.
"That's what happens sometimes when I get into basketball debates about what I really love is to play basketball. Took it a little too far."
On Sunday, someone tweeted at Durant, "give me one legitimate reason for leaving okc other than getting a championship.
