Kaepernick contacted Seahawks' Jeremy Lane to offer thanks for protest

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane said San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick reached out to him to stay thanks for supporting him after Lane did not stand during the playing national anthem before the Seahawks final preseason game on Thursday.

As with Kaepernick, Lane says he plans to continue to sit during the anthem, but said he doesn't know if any teammates plan to join him in protesting.

"I don't want to put any pressure on anyone. I'm doing it for me," Lane said, according to ESPN.com.

Lane also said that he hasn't decided if he will donate money to organizations.
