Toronto police have charged the journalist accused of throwing a can of beer at Orioles outfielder Hyun Soo Kim during the AL wild-card game Tuesday in Toronto.
Ken Pagan, 41, a sports editor with Postmedia, the Canadian media conglomerate, was charged Thursday with mischief, police announced.
Pagan is due in court in Nov. 24.
Pagan told the Toronto Sun on Wednesday he was misidentified, but he is cooperating with the police investigation after turning himself in. He suggested there are photos on social media that would exonerate him, showing he had a cup in his hand immediately following the beer-can throw.
