The Blue Jays and reigning AL MVP Josh Donaldson avoided arbitration Monday by agreeing to a two-year contract worth nearly $29 million, according to Sportsnet.
Donaldson, 30, was traded to Toronto from the Athletics in November 2014 and was one of the key components in helping the Blue Jays end their 21-year postseason drought.
