Stan Verrett, one of the few best "SportsCenter" anchors, has some big shoes to fill.
Verrett will replace John Saunders, who died suddenly earlier this month at 61, on ABC's Saturday college football coverage, ESPN announced on Thursday.
Saunders had done that job since 1992. Verrett has been with ESPN since 2000.

“John Saunders was a mentor and friend who helped me navigate my career at ESPN and was always ready with a kind word and timely advice,” Verrett said in an ESPN release.
