Little John has his first college victory.
John Daly II, the son of two-time major winner John Daly, captured his first collegiate victory Monday at the Columbia Spring Invitational. Daly II played his final five holes in 6 under to finish at 1-under 139, which was tied with two other golfers. But Daly II took home medalist honors in a scorecard playoff at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania, and the 21-year-old junior at Arkansas has his first trophy.
Daly shot even-par in the first 18-hole round Monday morning, and he was 5 over with five holes to play in his afternoon round.
