Joaquin Niemann is heading to the U.S. Open.
The 26-year-old Chilean earned his third victory of the season in six starts, taking home the title at LIV Golf Mexico City. Niemann was stellar in the final round, shooting 6-under 65 to come from behind and win his fifth overall LIV Golf title, tied with Brooks Koepka for most in the league's history.
More importantly however, Niemann's 40 points he gets in the standings for winning means he has locked up a spot in the U.S. Open at Oakmont in June. Earlier this year, the U.S. Golf Association announced a full exemption would be awarded to the top LIV player who is not otherwise exempt and in the top 3 of the 2025 LIV Golf Individual Standings as of May 19, 2025.
