The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly bringing in more competition for Jalen Hurts. The team took action Saturday, dealing a draft pick for Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The deal is for a conditional sixth-round pick. That pick can be upgraded to a fifth-round selection depending on how much Minshew plays for the Eagles in 2021.
Minshew, 25, was on the trade block after the Jaguars selected Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer named Lawrence the team's starter Wednesday.
