Jacksonville Jaguars officially release WR Gabe Davis; has failed physical designation

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Wednesday that they released wide receiver Gabe Davis. On Thursday afternoon, the transaction became official, and according to Tom Pelissero, Davis was released with a failed physical designation.

Davis appeared in 10 games in 2024, but his season was cut short in mid-November due to a torn meniscus in his left knee. At the time, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reported that Davis would undergo surgery and could need up to six months of recovery time, depending on the severity of the tear.

Davis signed a three-year, $39 million deal that included $24 million guaranteed with the Jaguars last offseason.
