Italian Open golf site moved for 2nd time, now in Monza

ROME (AP) The site of the Italian Open golf tournament in October has been moved for the second time this year.

The Italian Golf Federation says the event will now be held at the Golf Club Milano in Monza, the course which hosted the event the last two years.

In January, the federation announced it was switching the tournament site from the Olgiata club in Rome to the Royal Park I Roveri club outside Turin, in the Piedmont region.

However, the Piedmont region – like organizers in Rome – failed to come up with 500,000 euros ($575,000) in funding.
